I have it for the first time ever on monday. My wife has never had it either. What should I do to get out of being on the jury? Any of you guys had to do it?

During selection, wink, nod, smile or whatever else you can think of at either the defense or prosecutor to demonstrate your unwavering support, while scowling at the other. Make sure the one that you scowl at sees you gleefully supportive of the other party for no apparent reason. It's somewhere between 2-5 and 1-9 that you are dismissed without cause.

Wear a shirt that says, "You can have my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands." That will certainly get you out of it.

Serve your country with pride. If you foreit on the duties to your country, who says the country won't forfeit its duty to you? I think you can be honored to do the work that ias being asked of you to serve your country and the democracy you live in as democracy needs a functioning justice system.
You may very much dislike what I've just written but I don't quite understand why you would want to get out of jury duty.

I didn't want to do it because I have better things to do at work. We are always behind. I got picked to serve, so I will be on a 4 day trial, possibly a week long trial if we recess enough. Not looking forward to it.
